Curriculum Philatelic
Born in St-Jérôme in the Laurentians, in April 1946 in a working class family, I am the last of 4 children. I was fortunate to have a father to us all philatelist insiders very young to the hobby trainer. If I managed my studies is largely due to information acquired by this wonderful hobby. All my youth I was in the presence of stamps, albums, philatelic. I developed a natural curiosity to face those little icons that we had so many distant lands unknown to us, fabulous animals, great characters, events, joyful, some sad, crafts and many other unknown subjects trainers.
After marriage, studies in recreation and entertainment, we've raised our children in the same spirit of openness to the outside world. When our children went to see the world, I felt it was time to reconnect with my main hobby of his youth. Since that time (1989), I spend my efforts and my free time to explore all aspects of philately. I gained extensive knowledge of Canadian philately in all aspects. I also discussed the understanding of "perfins" and "Precancel", the "overload and Overlays" here and elsewhere.
My training in leisure gave me the tools necessary to popularize, for many, the passion of a thousand faces. Those who have seen my many exhibitions know that my varied interests indicate my commitment to training and information on subjects unknown Stamp Collecting: Canadian postal markings, the perfins the Precancel varieties, themes, etc..
My achievements: In 1994 I joined Louis-Georges Dumais Philatelic Club to form the "Seals" Boisbriand. I was, in turn, Secretary Treasurer, Vice President Finance, President and Director. Mr. Dumais and I've done everything that the Club is known and recognized in the community and worldwide philately. In January 2008 I started the "Philatelic Club St-Faustin-Lac-Carré.
In 2002, I received from the hands of the president, the "Certificate of Merit stamp" of the Quebec Federation of Philately. I received dozens of certificates and medals for my exhibitions both locally, regionally and provincially.
I wanted to do more for the understanding of this hobby, so in addition to my exhibitions I have made several informative free translations of English texts to my friends unilingual francophones can also access documents in French, reflecting the North American Philatelic reality and Quebec. I thus translated: the 55-page introduction catalogs Scott's international "I also translated technical texts found on the net, many items of" Linn's Stamp News "and" monthly Scott, "American Philatelist" and many others.
I wrote a background paper on "Official Stamps of Canada" with a checklist. I wrote a reference list on the French series Centennial reflecting, in part, the book's English Robin Harris. I have compiled a reference list of surcharges and overprints of stamps the world. I also published several articles in the journal club Boisbriand.
My implications: In addition to positions held in clubs Philatelic above, I was also responsible for logistical and technical support at provincial exhibitions
Quoffilex 2000, 2004 and Ophilex Ophilex 2008. Task of the physical and technique of these events, including: premises, equipment and staff. I also participated in the implementation of all local exhibitions
"Boisphilex" . I also been, until recently, the auctioneer appointed club Boisbriand. At Boisphilex 2008 I presented a lecture on Canadian postal markings. With Club of St-Faustin, I participate in the activities of the Federation.
In May 2009 I was elected to the board of directors of the Quebec Federation of Philately (FQP). I am currently the senior vice president. I had a mandate to represent the Federation on the committee organizing the exhibition OPHILEX 2010 (Olympics-type competition). I took over the technical aspect of the achievement in the field.
