Wednesday many municipalities in Canada and the United States are conducting their annual prediction to tell us whether winter will continue.
The most famous of these groundhogs, Punxsutawney Phil in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania has not seen his shadow, 7:25 am, indicating that the spring will be early. It was the 125th edition of Groundhog Day in this small town north-east U.S.. According to the Washington Post , Punxsutawney Phil has predicted six weeks to 98 times over the winter since 1887. remains to be seen whether other marmots, as Shubenacadie Sam in Nova Scotia, or Fred Marmot Val d'Espoir, Gaspé, this Wednesday will see their shadow and predicted six more weeks of winter.
In terms of predictions for groundhogs on Feb. 2, several other variants exist across Canada and the United States. Can be mentioned among others Wiarton Willie, Ontario and Balzac Billy in Alberta, Buckeye Chuck in Ohio and General Beauregard in Georgia.
