The poster for this evening taunting me for many weeks but the state of my finances kept me from throwing myself on the first tickets here. Finally, two days before, I wanted more and there is current I went to the FNAC closest to get the pass as desired.
What, me tell you, Encore Hair Hands to Work? Twice in less than a year? Yes, good, but it was so intense the first time they made me one second to succumb. And then there was Heavy Trash, and I never had the honor of seeing John Spencer in the flesh.
The path of the Hauts de Seine, Seine Saint Denis was epic and exhausting. But it is safe as we arrived on site. Before the start of a concert worthy of interest, we had time to make a detour to the flea market vintage and stands of small stores there. The whole thing was rather tempting, but unfortunately, my empty pockets do not allow me to hurl myself on the nice dress Courreges 1954. Around us, a lot of trendy thirtysomethings but it often eat vegetarian couscous drinking Grolsch. But scattered here and there in the aisles, you can also see their fifties avid collectors of vinyl records lost.
We then took the direction of the stage Mo 'to attend the concert Eldia, group I only knew the name, having seen a bunch of times on posters or in Lylo. Finally, the provision of five young people had little interest for me (even if the groupies in the front rows were not of this opinion) and is therefore in relative boredom as the evening began. All that really lacks character.
A good half-hour queue at the bar later, the crowd becoming increasingly dense and stirred back into the room. With his shirt completely torn and his look of tramp on acid, lead singer of Hair is a pitiful sight. But after a minute, we are all already fascinated. People scream, jump and I can not take my eyes off the shoulders of such inward speaking by raising his arms and shouting his sentences as a preacher or a politician.
But at the end of each song, he apologizes, apparently not satisfied himself with his performance. True, he did not look as confident as last time, but that's normal, it plays almost as new titles. It makes noise, and is taking strong and gesticulating guy trying to persuade us I do not know what. Tractable, we do not want to upset then we follow it when he tells a dark story town without birds or honors Charlie Sheen who "has some problems right now."
Unfortunately, the clock is ticking and the fear of missing the start of Heavy Trash on the Stage For ', is beginning to be felt. Armed with courage, so we crossed the room to avoid the blows of the young pogoteurs overexcited and arrive safely on the other side. But all is calm. John Spencer has not yet begun his show.
A very different spectacle awaits us. In the second room, the audience is so diverse that if we do not know the program, we really wonder what we will attend!
But the first notes of the orchestra, it's back in the fifties guaranteed. Jon Spencer lives literally the stage, it is clear that there is at home. What charisma! Soon, the audience gets carried away by his crooner voice to bad boy ways. The group, dressed in matching navy suits the mood of his music, hair cream range, connects the securities at a frenetic pace. It's hot, sweaty and musicians too. It must be said that viewers of all ages, began to dance. People are happy, smile, drink and clap their hands, a sign that the concert is successful.
Between songs, Jon Spencer tells us things almost incomprehensible because of his southern accent forced and speed of speech difficult to follow. When the last song ended, the lights come back, is angry that he left the scene reluctantly. He managed to be heard by the organizing team and join this great party for three new songs. It is very simple: it looks like he wants to leave.
Yet it will the good because it is already almost an hour in the morning. It is surprising to see so many people still in Saint-Ouen, but we understand that miss the end of this concert would have been criminal.
is the lip to smile, despite a sore back and legs and the significant loss of hearing that we return the car, satisfied with this evening filled with excitement. Fortunately, the return will be far less painful than one way.
